About the RealAudio Encoder 3.0
RealNetworks RealAudio 3.0 technology brings broadcast quality audio to the Internet. For the first time, the RealAudio 3.0 product line offers stereo sound for 28.8 Kbps modems. In addition, near CD quality sound can be delivered for ISDN and LAN connections.
The RealAudio Encoder lets you encode your sound files or live broadcast into the RealAudio format. Encoded RealAudio material can then be played over the Internet in real-time, using the RealAudio Server and the RealAudio Player. The RealAudio Encoder 3.0 has many exciting new features.
The RealAudio Encoder 3.0 can encode using eight different algorithms. Refer to Choosing an Encoding Algorithm for more information.
The RealAudio Encoder 3.0 will encode digital audio from a file (.wav, .au, or raw .pcm format), or from any live source input to the sound card, including audio CDs. These release notes contain all the information needed to setup your RealAudio Encoder 3.0.
