If you received this message, you have tried to record a clip that for some reason cannot be recorded. There are two common reasons why clips do not record, Selective Record was not enabled or the file was being http streamed.

• Player Plus users may use the Selective Record button to record .RA/.RM files which have been Selective Record enabled. It is entirely at the discretion of the content provider to enable Selective Record. The organization serving the content may not want or cannot lawfully allow audio or video files to be recorded.

  When Selective Record has been enabled on a .RA or .RM file, the symbol of a small tape recorder appears within the status bar at the bottom of the Player. When there is a red bar through that image, it indicates the content provider has not enabled copying or recording of that file.

• If the file was being streamed via the http protocol, then the clip cannot be recorded.
