Error #87 No RealAudio Codecs have been installed on your system.

If you receive this message, the RealAudio Player or RealPlayer has not been installed correctly. You need to manually delete the RealAudio and RealVideo codec files (.dll) and reinstall the Player or Encoder.

To remove the appropriate files:

  1. Delete all RealAudio and RealVideo files from the RAPlayer (RealAudio 3.0 or earlier) or Real/Player (RealPlayer 4.0).

  2. Delete the .dll files from the Windows/System directory. For a complete list of the files, refer to the Quick Start section of the release notes for the version of the player or encoder you are deleting.

Note: If you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or later installed, you need to delete the raplayer.exe file from the Windows/System directory.

  3. When all the files have been deleted, you should reinstall the RealAudio Player, RealPlayer or Encoder. For the latest version of our product, download the installer from Web site.
