Screen Saver

1. How do I use the screen saver feature included with Surreal.FX?

   A standard Windows screen saver module is installed when you install Surreal.FX. You may access the Surreal.FX screensaver as you would any other Windows screen saver.

   To access the screen saver:

   1. Click the Start button, choose Settings, and then Control Panel.
   2. Double-click the Display icon.
   3. Click the Screen Saver tab.
   4. Choose the Surreal.FX item from the Screen Saver list.

   Note: Using the Surreal.FX screen saver while Surreal.FX is running on the desktop can lead to unpredictable results like system crashes. You should exit the main Surrel.FX program before using the screen saver.

2. Why does the password box appear so large when I password-protect my screen saver?

   When Surreal.FX displays a 2D visualization, it sets the desktop area ("screen resolution") to 320x240 pixels. When you exit from your screen saver, Surreal.FX has not had a chance to reset the screen resolution back to the normal area, so your password entry box appears larger than usual.

   After you enter your screen saver password, your desktop will return to its normal size ("screen resolution").

3. Why is my desktop area small (i.e., low resolution) when I move the mouse to stop the Surreal.FX screen saver after it has been running for a while?

   If this occurs, disable your computer's power saving functions such as low power standby and hard disk shutoff.
