About RealPlayer

RealAudio Player 3.0 brings broadcast quality audio to the Internet. For the first time, the RealAudio Player 3.0 offers stereo sound for 28.8 Kbps modems. In addition, near CD quality sound can be delivered for ISDN and LAN connections.

After you have clicked an audio file, you can continue to use your Web browser while RealAudio Player 3.0 is playing. If you want, you can minimize (or hide) RealAudio Player 3.0 while you use other applications. You can also choose to have RealAudio Player 3.0 displayed in front of active applications. Either way, RealAudio Player 3.0 continues to play the selected audio file until the file is finished, or until it is stopped or paused, without interfering with the functionality of other programs.

RealAudio Player 3.0 contains several new algorithms, including several algorithms that deliver stereo sound. To determine which algorithm can be supported by your system, check the System Requirements section in these release notes.
