RealAudio Player 3.0 for UNIX
Release Notes
Sound
RealAudio Player 3.0 can only play files that have been encoded with the RealAudio Encoder.
By default, RealAudio Player 3.0 sends 16-bit, 8 kHz sound to your sound card. However, some sound cards do not support 16-bit audio, and some soundcards do not support 8 kHz audio. In most cases, RealAudio Player 3.0 installer receives this information from the sound card and automatically changes your preferences. If RealAudio sounds garbled, high-pitched, or like static noise, you should Edit the Advanced Preferences in RealAudio Player 3.0.
