RealAudio Player 3.0 Release Notes

Quick Start

Windows 95 and Windows NT

RealAudio Player 3.0 is installed in the C:\Raplayer directory, unless you specify otherwise. The RealAudio Installation program also places several system files into the C:\Windows\System directory of your hard drive.

Note: For a complete list of the files that are installed, refer to the Windows 95 and Windows NT Installation Details.

  1. Download the installer.

  2. When prompted, choose Save to Disk and specify a folder to store the RealAudio installation program. Note where you save the installer, as you will need to run it once the download is complete.

  3. Double-click the installation file. The RealAudio installation begins. Follow the on-screen instructions.

When the installation is complete, a RealAudio Player 3.0 shortcut is added to your Windows 95 or Windows NT desktop.

Windows 3.1, 3.11

RealAudio Player 3.0 is installed in the C:\Raplayer directory, unless you specify otherwise. The RealAudio Installation program also places several system files into the C:\Windows\System directory of your hard drive.

Note: For a complete list of the files that are installed, refer to the Windows 3.1 and 3.11 Installation Details.

  1. Download the installer.

  2. When prompted, choose Save to Disk and specify a directory to store the RealAudio installation program. Note where you save the installer, as you will need to run it once the download is complete.

  3. Double-click the installation file from either the File Manager or the Program Manager. The RealAudio installation begins. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Window 95 and NT Installation Details

In the C:\Raplayer directory (or the directory specified during the installation):

  • PNUI3230.DLL
  • RAOCX32.DLL (if you installed the RealAudio ActiveX Controls for Internet Explorer)

In the Windows\Help directory:

  • RAPLAYER.HLP

If you installed the RealAudio Plug-In, then in the Plug-in directory of your browser:

  • NPRA32.DLL

If you installed the RealAudio Xtra Shockwave Plug-In, then in the Plug-in/np32dsw directory of your browser:

  • RAXTRA.X32
