Release Notes: RealPlayer 4.0 for Windows
Quick Start
The RealPlayer 4.0 is installed in the C:\Real\Player directory, unless you specify otherwise. The installation also installs several system files into the C:\Windows\System directory of your hard drive.
Note: For a complete list of the files that are installed, refer to the Installation Details.

Download the installer.
- When prompted, choose Save to Disk and specify the temporary directory for the RealPlayer installation program. Note where you saved it. Please see the FAQ on how to download the player if you have problems downloading.
- Double-click the installer file. The RealPlayer installation begins.
Follow the instructions in each of the screens that follow.
When the installation is complete, a shortcut for the RealPlayer 4.0 is added to your Windows 95 or Windows NT desktop.
