System and Software Requirements
RealPlayer 4.0 is designed to work on computers running Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 or later or Windows 3.1x. The following is a list of the hardware and software required to use RealPlayer Plus 4.0.
System and hardware requirements:
- Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 or later or Windows 3.1x
- 2 MB free on your hard disk
- A Windows-compatible sound card required.
- CPU: For Audio Only: 486/66 DX minimum; Pentium or faster recommended. For Audio & Video: Pentium 75 or faster recommended.
- 16 MB RAM
- Modem or other Internet Connection - 14.4 minimum/28.8 or faster recommended
- Windows 3.1 RealPlayer requires Video for Windows 1.1e. from Microsoft (1.35 MB). You may already have this file on your system. The RealPlayer installer will alert you if you need to obtain Video for Windows.
Supported Browsers and Internet Service Providers
RealPlayer 4.0 works with almost all popular World Wide Web browsers and Internet Service Providers that use a 32-bit winsock and a 32-bit browser, including: Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer and America Online.
